The Tawa Rugby Football Club is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of our community (players, families, coaches, referees and administrators) through providing a safe inclusive environment on and off the field.
It is the aim of our club to provide a positive experience for our community by putting our players at the centre of our decision making on the present and future of our club. By doing so, we aspire to provide the best chance for them to develop their rugby and life skills.
The club believes that it is important for our community to show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of all others. Therefore, we encourage everyone to be open and share their thoughts, feedback and or concerns that they have about any aspect of our club.

Nursery Grade now open! Kids 2-6yrs now free!
We have now opened a ‘nursery grade’ for kids ages 2-6, who love rugby (and the playing top!), but don’t like games.
Little Rippas - nursery grade rugby:
Sunday afternoons at 2-245pm
at the junior club or green room (weather dependent).
It's all about having a good time with games and activities that build basic ball skills, without the pressure of any actual rugby games. The focus is on getting kids ready to move into the next grade when they feel confident and ready.
If you have a 2-6 year old, please register them for free!
Be sure to select 'nursery grade' - its at the bottom of the grade list.
2025 Tackle and Rippa Rugby Registrations Now OPEN
NZ Rugby have introduced a new registration and payments platform called Rugby Xplorer. Here you can register as a parent, to manage your child's Club registration.
Kids 2-6 years are free.
Kids 7-13 are $65 for the first, $20 for every kid after.
Registration Nights at Junior Club Rooms on 5th, 14th and 21st March from 530pm.

This year we had awesome weather, and great competition across our tackle and rippa grades.
2024 season saw Tawa Junior Rugby compete with 15 teams across 9 grades
